A tuning fork level switch is a type of level switch, also commonly known as a tuning fork level meter or tuning fork level controller. It is suitable for fixed-point detection, alarm or control of solid material levels in various silos and liquid levels in various containers. So how to wire the tuning fork level switch? What are the steps?
The tuning fork level switch is a new type of level control switch, which mainly relies on the tuning fork to measure the height of the level through the principle of vibration. It has the characteristics of long service life, stable performance, safety and reliability, strong adaptability, no need for calibration and maintenance, and is mainly widely used in the process control of material levels in industries such as metallurgy, building materials, chemical, light industry, and grain.
When wiring the tuning fork level switch, please follow the following steps: open the housing cover; Loosen the locking nut on the cable threaded joint; Remove approximately 10cm of the outer sheath of the connecting cable and approximately 1cm of the insulation layer at the end of the core wire; Insert the cable through the cable threaded joint into the casing; Open the wiring terminals with a screwdriver; Insert the end of the core wire into the terminal according to the wiring diagram; Use a screwdriver to tighten the wire terminals; Check if the wiring is secure by gently pulling the connected cable; Tighten the locking nut of the cable threaded joint and tighten the sealing ring tightly; Screw on the housing cover.
There are two installation methods for tuning fork level switches, one is horizontal installation and the other is vertical installation. From most current working conditions, it can be seen that tuning fork level switches are generally installed horizontally. During installation, attention should be paid to the following two issues: tilt angle and distance from the discharge port.
