  1. Test whether the contact between the movable arm of the single potentiometer and the resistor is good. Use the ohm file of the multimeter to measure both ends of "1", "2" (or "2", "3"), and turn the shaft of the single potentiometer in the counterclockwise direction to the position close to "off", then the smaller the resistance value, the better. Then slowly rotate the shaft handle clockwise, the resistance value should gradually increase, and the pointer in the watch head should move smoothly. When the shaft shaft is turned to the extreme position "3", the resistance value should be close to the nominal value of the single potentiometer. If the pointer of the multimeter jumps during the rotation of the shaft handle of the single potentiometer, it indicates that the movable contact has a fault of poor contact. 

  2. Use the ohm stop of the multimeter to measure the "1" and "2" ends, and the reading should be the nominal resistance value of the single potentiometer, such as the pointer of the multimeter is not moving or the resistance value is much different, it indicates that the single potentiometer has been damaged.

Most of the resistors of the single potentiometer technique are made of polycarbonate synthetic resins, and should avoid contact with the following items: ammonia, other amines, alkaline water solutions, aromatic hydrocarbons, ketones, lipid hydrocarbons, strong chemicals (pH value is too high), etc., otherwise it will affect its performance.

  3. If the terminal of the single potentiometer is welded at too high a temperature or for too long a time, it may cause damage to the single potentiometer skills. Pin type terminal welding should be at 235 ° C ±5 ° C, 3 seconds to complete, welding should be more than 1.5MM away from the single potentiometer body, do not use solder flow through the circuit board when welding skills; Wire terminal welding should be completed within 3 seconds at 350 ° C ±10 ° C. And the terminal should avoid heavy pressure, otherwise easy to cause poor contact.

  4. When welding, the height of the rosin (flux) into the printing press plate is adjusted properly, and the flux should be avoided from intruding into the single potentiometer, otherwise it will cause poor contact between the brush and the resistor, resulting in INT and noise.

  5. The single potentiometer is best used in the voltage adjustment structure, and the wiring mode should choose "1" pin ground; The current test adjustment structure should be avoided, because the contact resistance between the resistor and the contact piece is not conducive to the passage of high current.
