  The oil-water interface meter is a specialized instrument for measuring the interface between two liquids. According to the different measurement principles of interface instruments, they can be roughly divided into several types: magnetic, radio frequency admittance, shortwave absorption, capacitive, servo, etc. Among them, magnetic interface instruments are divided into: reed type magnetic control interface instruments, magnetostrictive interface instruments, and other forms.

  The shortwave oil-water interface instrument is based on the theory of medium absorption of shortwaves. It radiates electrical energy in the form of electromagnetic waves into the oil-water medium in the form of emulsions, and detects the content of the two media based on the difference in electrical energy absorption between oil and water.

  The working principle of the capacitive oil-water interface meter is to utilize the different conductivity of the oil-water two media, so that the height of the capacitor and water is linearly related, achieving the purpose of monitoring the oil-water interface. Nowadays, radio frequency admittance is often used to replace traditional capacitive interface devices.

  The application requirements and technical requirements of interface instruments vary greatly depending on the different industrial production equipment and processes. In some special application scenarios, such as measuring the interface between petroleum and water, measuring the interface between liquefied gas and alkali, and measuring the interface between residual oil and furfural.
