A 3dB bridge, also known as a co frequency combiner, is a four port network that works by continuously sampling the transmission power in a certain direction along the transmission line. It can divide an input signal into two signals that are mutually equal in amplitude and have a 90 ° (or 180 °) phase difference. It is mainly used for multi signal combining, improving the utilization of output signals, and is widely used in indoor coverage systems for combining base station signals. In addition, the 3dB bridge can also serve as a power divider, dividing the input signal power equally into two output ports. When using a 3dB bridge as a single port output, the other output end must be connected to a matching power load to absorb the output power of that port, otherwise it will seriously affect the transmission characteristics of the system. Meanwhile, the 3dB bridge also brings additional 3dB losses, which will have a certain impact on the cost and reliability of the active part of the system application
