The function of an isolator

　　In RF circuits, interference and coupling phenomena occur between different signals. Isolators are designed to prevent this phenomenon from occurring, ensuring that different signals are independent of each other and do not interfere with each other.

　　Specifically, isolators have the following three main functions:

　　1. Isolation signal: Isolators can isolate signals without affecting their transmission, ensuring independence between different signals;

　　2. Improve output signal: Isolators can adjust and optimize the amplitude, phase, frequency, and other characteristics of the output signal, making it purer, more stable, and accurate;

　　3. Protection system: Isolators can protect the components and equipment in the system, avoiding interference and damage from electromagnetic waves, static electricity, and other external factors.

　　According to its working principle and structural characteristics, isolators can be divided into the following categories:

　　1. Capacitive isolator: Utilizing the characteristic of storing energy in capacitors to achieve signal isolation, mainly used for coupling and isolation of RF signals.

　　2. Frequency isolator: Based on the principle of mutual isolation between signals of different frequencies, it separates signals of different frequencies and is commonly used in fields such as radio transmission and signal processing.

　　3. Transformer isolator: Utilizing the mutual inductance of transformers to separate and isolate signals, it belongs to low-frequency isolators and is suitable for fields such as audio and video.

　　4. Optical isolator: Using photoelectric conversion devices to convert electrical signals into optical signals, thereby achieving signal isolation and interference suppression. It is mainly used in fields such as photoelectric signal isolation and fiber optic communication.
